The following has been stated: -
•The Central Government has notified revised standards for specified telecommunication equipment under the Telecommunications Act, 2023.
•The revised standards take effect from September 22, 2026.
•TEC 45070:2026 prescribes Generic Requirements for 40, 30 and 20-metre towers for cellular systems.
•TEC 59061:2026 provides the Test Guide for Trunk Media Gateway.
